You may remember seeing this lovely couple from a post not long ago.. their South Beach engagement session was one of those that I enjoyed shooting so much. Their carefree spirit and always happy expressions made them so easy to photograph. On their long awaited wedding day everything was happening just as planned except the one thing we couldn’t control… the weather. An 100% prediction of rain forecast for the entire day my friends. I kept thinking the night before, this is South Florida, it will rain a bit and then go away. Well, it didn’t. That was the one day friends that Hialeah literally never truly saw the sun. Out went our first look plans at the park and bridal portrait session after the ceremony but guess what? They didn’t let a bit (or a whole lot) of rain get in the way of celebrating their love. Despite all the mishaps with the weather and behind the scenes, Duima and Josias kept that happy spirt and so did the rest of the family. The whole AV team was on board this day and they all felt the same way at the end of the day, this was the wedding that unfortunately had the worst weather of the year (even the sparkler exit was done in the rain) but that didn’t stop them at all. Love and happiness was what truly mattered here. So yes I am using them and their story as an example for all my future brides.. if it happens to rain on your wedding date, and our schedule doesn’t go according to our plans, remember to celebrate what matters most to you. If you don’t mind getting your dress muddy, then we will make it work and if not, there is always a tomorrow when we can get together and chase the sun! Here are my favorites of Duima & Josias special day:
