I remember that phone call we had when she said she was changing her wedding date so that I could be the one to document it… little did I know when I shot her engagements that she would also become my bride. It’s sometimes a very sad thing to reach out to one of your favorite vendors only to hear a “Sorry, we’re already booked.” It happens a lot when the wedding day you pre-select happens to fall during wedding season. But my lovely bride here was going to make this happen… she moved over the date and I was so thrilled that we would get to work together again. Iralys is one of the girls in this circle of friends that I have shot weddings for. It usually works out that way that you tell a friend who tells a friend who happens to see you at a wedding… hence why almost all my brides are connected somehow. Seeing her as a bride this time around was truly so special. We joked early on that her wedding would be the most emotional one because she’s an only daughter and very very close to her parents. But alas the day was here and yes they all cried and we celebrated together Iralys and Jahdiel’s turn at their best day ever. I even broke a couple of rules and danced, which I think I’ll make it a 2018 goal – to dance at every wedding. I have had the hardest time narrowing it down to a few favorites, so this post has been a long time coming. Here are treasured moments from Iralys and Jahdiel’s wedding day.
You see those two cuties up there, in 2028 I really hope to get a call from them. Little best friends at the wedding doing absolutely everything together and even talking across the dance floor while the bride and groom were having their moment. I couldn’t help but want to take a picture with them JUST IN CASE it actually happens. The picture below was our final result after attempting to capture an exit with the small sparklers. Just FYI brides, unless we have the really long ones – the regular kind won’t work. So we quickly improvised with what we had and I love everyone’s excitement.
