One of my most favorite things to do is to re-shoot families I’ve worked with in the past. The first time I worked with them I had a bit of an issue with remembering certain items that were quite vital to our shoot. Ahem, batteries to be specific. We then noticed I wasn’t wearing my charm shoes. We rescheduled, and I made sure to never forget those filthy red crocs again. This time I made sure to bring them along and we had the perfect afternoon together. The girls were much older now. They danced and played and even sang Disney’s Frozen’s ‘Let It Go’ with me. It’s amazing to see children reach a comfort where it doesn’t matter anymore whether or not you are photographing them. They just go on about being themselves and that’s exactly the kind of thing I want to photograph. Can’t wait until we do it again!
