One of the greatest days in a woman’s life is the day that the man of her dreams asks her to be his wife. However it is that he pops the question, it will for sure be engraved in her memory forever. That’s probably why grooms have so much pressure to come up with a proposal tailored for their bride-to-be, hoping she says YES! I mean at that point most girls say yes right? I can’t begin to tell you all how many ideas I have of cute proposals that throughout the years I’ve gathered in my creative mind. Why I’m collecting these I’m not quite sure. Maybe one day when my brother falls in love and is ready to pop the question they will come in handy. Last week I was the lucky gal to capture this special moment for a lovely couple. Dimitrios had most of the details set for how he wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Laura and just needed a bit of a feminine perspective on making it extra special.
He would bring her to dinner at Bourbon Steak in Aventura. Romance her with a bouquet of flowers as a special gift. And right when she thinks it’s time to order dessert, she would learn of another surprise. Dessert “outside”. Meanwhile they walked to the “outside dessert location” he handed her a book of pictures of their time together. On the last page of that book, he had a picture of the ring box. She looks up and now she’s in front of a pathway of rose pink petals lined with tea-light candles leading her to what she now knows will be a spectacular moment. At the end of the path there is a champagne station, awaiting celebration. He gets on one knee, ready to ask her that most important question. And she said, YES!
What a magical evening for Laura & Dimitrios to share with their family. I am so happy that they had us capture this wonderful memory. I know Laura will be sharing this story for years to come and it’s so special to think that she will have photographs to remember it all.
