Time. We all just can’t get enough. I can’t remember the last time I felt that I wanted time to slip by faster like I used to when I was a teenager. Eager to age and be independent and ‘fend’ for myself in the world. But long gone are those days and now you see me like a kid on the first day of school grabbing on to their parents leg begging them to take them home. My children are making me this way. I hadn’t noticed it as much before because I wasn’t as busy, but this past season has had me come to realize I have been going in and out of weekends from one session to the next. Editing and meeting clients during the week and literally finding myself a babysitter the whole time. These past two weeks that I semi-took-off have been the greatest blessing for our small family. Time to just enjoy each other, sleep, and ignore the phone until later. Time to put Matthew and William’s wants first. And what are those two little devils of mine into lately? Cars. Monster Trucks. and MORE cars.
We bought them Lightning McQueen race cars and matching driver suits. Because every little boy I know that loves the movie Cars, dreams about Lightning McQueen. It made my heart swell with tears to see them all grown up failing miserably at directing the cars but looking so grown up in their costumes. Tall growing toddlers… no more babies here. These are my kids, the Vigoa twins. Future Nascar racers.
These next ones, I literally almost begged for and he wasn’t having it. This is him and I amidst a “please take a couple of pictures with me”.
We knew it would soon be time to extract Matthew’s chipped sick tooth, and that’s why you may notice a bit more of him than Will. I was trying to rack up as many pictures of my almost three year old Matthew with all his teeth as I could. Today was the toughest day for my poor little guy since his tooth was extracted and we just stood there squeezing his hand and feet as he scram with all his might. You can read the story as how his accident happened here. The last time I shot pictures of these boys at this location they had just turned two, look how much they’ve grown. Thanks to my friends Jailyn and Lester for coming along and helping with us in so many ways this day. Shooting, chasing and sweating there butts off along with us for the sake of the twins.
