There is beauty in the familiar touch of the one person you have loved before you have even met. The sweetness in her voice is your favorite sound. She is always with you. Ready to give every bit of herself to serve you as home for you to grow. She fights and pushes with all her might to bring you her and she cradles you in her arms the moment your through coming into this world. You open your eyes to meet her and she’s more beautiful than you imagined. She’s crying and kissing you and showering you with a feeling you have yet to come to know. She promises never to let you go. And although time may pass and you learn all the things you never knew, you’ll always come back to that sweetness in her voice and the warmth of her hug because she is the first home you ever knew. The first love you’ve ever had and the one who’s always been with you.
Kristin has had the wonderful blessing if bringing into this world four adorable, healthy and perfect babies. Not once, but four times she’s experienced the joy of seeing them for the first time after such a long time of dreaming of what their little faces would look like. With each passing time her children have been also there to witness that special moment and welcome another member to their family. I haven’t experienced this quite myself but I can tell from the smile in her eyes and the way she bounces back so quickly to each and every one of those babies that this is what she was meant to be, mom or momma. I have never seen her more radiant than with her hands full of babies. I could only imagine what she was like as a child playing with her dolls and already dreaming of what it would be like one day to become a mother herself. I am sure she will agree with me that those childhood dreams can’t compare to what its like right now. A heart full of love and joy to share with her sweet husband Ryan and all her family.
The arrival of Lorelei once again brings all those newborn baby things that go by so quickly. Breast feeding, sleeplessness, constant diaper changes and going about your day in such a delicate way because there is a new little one in the house. Soon she will be wrestling the boys and pinching their cheeks just like Lilly does but for now we admire how beautiful and tiny she is. How perfectly her feet fit in your hands and how touching it is to hold her hand. It melts your heart. They may grow and have stinky feet instead of the yummy ones you remember, but that warm feeling of holding their hand never goes away. Those little fingers leave an everlasting imprint in your heart that you can’t help but want to hold on to forever and ever. and ever. These first days of having Lorelei around and watching her become the baby of the house, the youngest Kennedy girl and Lilly’s best friend will be treasured by all. Lorelei, we all can’t wait to see who you are and who you will be most like.. but until then, know that since before day one, we have all loved you…
Sweet moments from Lorelei’s second day at home. We tried to compose a few shots, but they ended up being mostly exactly how the kids wanted them to be. Which is exactly what we want to remember. The new Kennedy family of *six.
I don’t know when I’ll be in Louisiana again admiring all the littles, but until then, I’m looking forward to all of Kristin’s Instagram posts. I say it every session, it’s always such a treat to photograph you all and I can’t wait to do so again! All my love!
Such beautiful pictures, they melt my heart!!!😍😍😍
Thank you!! All that baby sweetness will be flooding your home soon and I can’t wait to see you all mushy again!
