The first time I photographed Kristin and Ryan they were pregnant with their second baby, Luke. I instantly fell in love with Sam, their oldest. It was a mixture of his charm along with the fact I missed my own little brother Samuel. He’s the kind of kid that you can’t help but want to look at. I was living in Louisiana back then, many many moons ago. Kristin is big into capturing memories and we saw eye-to-eye with what she wanted each session to be. Our relationship and photo journey had continued even though I had moved back to Miami and at times it seemed like I was never going back to Louisiana. But I would. And every time I would, I would photograph them in their new stage of childhood. Lilly’s arrival was to be celebrated just as we did with Luke. But how, I was in Miami and they still live in Louisiana? Well, Kristin was going to have herself an Abby in that room if it meant she would fly me over for the birth. And she did. Lilly was patient enough to wait until an inducement date for her grand arrival so everything went just according to plan. The cutest little princess birth I ever witnessed. Meet lovely Lilly. Sam and Luke’s baby sister. There’s something so special about the kids meeting their new sibling before everyone else does. I haven’t personally done it myself, but I’ve watched Kristin do the same thing first with Luke and now with Lilly. Sam’s face just lights up. He’s already smitten with his tiny princess baby sister. So so sweet.
It’s crazy to think that if Kristin were to have another baby I would do this all over again. Fly me to Louisiana and I’ll take pictures of all the babies!!! Thank you all so so much for having me there with you. It means the world to me to be trusted with such special moments.
