The following birth session happens to be one of my favorites. I know I say that with most of my sessions, but this family had such positive energy flowing during the whole experience that it was a dream to work with them. All along we thought we wouldn’t have any surprises because she already had a set inducement date. But one day, at 2 am I get “the call” and it was time to rush to the hospital. Somehow these middle of the night calls make me so excited that any bit of tiredness I had is gone the moment I jump in the car. When I arrived at the hospital Holly was already 6 centimeters dilated. Although Holly was in pain, her husband, Richie kept everything so lively and happy. His excitement and joy was translated into big bursts of energy. There was no holding back the tears or smiles in this room. Expecting their first baby was not only exciting for the parents but for all the family and friends that were anxiously waiting right along with them. The birth of their first son Sullivan, was such a special moment for them all. I am so grateful to have been invited to witness such a beautiful day for the Edmonds family and friends.
Allow me to catch up all of my past Louisiana birth sessions as I prepare for the one I will be documenting next week… I can’t even begin to explain how thrilled I am that baby Lorelei will be here in just a matter of days.
