One day old little Lorelei was melting our hearts as she played with her big sister Lily for the first time all to herself. The day before was all sorts of magical and I will not pretend that anything compares to that first moment you birth your baby and meet them for the first time, but sometimes those quiet moments to yourself after all the craziness of having people in and out of your room can be just as special. Those are the moments you get to examine and admire your newborn baby after so many months of waiting to meet her. Moments that will never be forgotten because unlike the day of, your hard work of bringing this baby into the world is done. Now its time to enjoy and look forward to having your baby at home with you. For Kristin, these sweet moments of having Lilly and Lorelei together will forever be engraved in her memory because she had been looking forward to seeing their connection all along her pregnancy. Lilly as the great sister she is, couldn’t wait to hold Lorelei, kiss her and cuddle her just like her momma would do. She would break out in song and sing lullabies real soft and real loud when Lorelei would cry. I imagined this scene and Lilly just found a way to outdo herself completely. Everyone in that room was in complete awe at how beautiful watching them together is. The following pictures are from my visit the day after Lorelei was born… a morning with the girls.
I would still get to see them all one more time before heading back to Miami. Their newborn session at home was just as dreamy as you can imagine. Come back soon to see Lorelei and all the gang one more time!
