By the lake with Bella

The thing about children is that they hold the power to affect our everything. They become the moon and our stars and the world is not complete without them once they are part of our lives. I look at these photographs of my friends Laura & Alfred with their precious daughter, Bella and I am convinced even more of what I just said. Laura happiness around Bella is so contagious. I can feel the love she feels just by looking at her be with Bella. Bella cracks her up like no joke Alfred will ever come up with. She smiles like she is sitting on the beach soaking all that sunshine. Alfred is also under Bella’s spell. Together they will forever fill Bella’s life with all the love she will ever need and more.

The last time we took pictures, which wasn’t that long ago, Bella was so itty bitty. I compared that session and our little Isabella is growing way too fast for my liking. Something that I know Laura totally agrees with. I say our Bella, because Alfred calls me suegra (mother-in-law) with hopes of us becoming in laws in the future. I guess that’s normal amongst friends, to hope that one day your children fall in love with each other so that you officially become family. But as we have already discussed, usually when you want something like this to happen, it never does. So as far as I am concerned, no crushing on the boysBella, these boys are like your cousins, we will find you someone else. (wink)

For their session we headed off to the park and unexpectedly ended up in the lake because it just felt right. Bella was all about the water and I’m so happy Alfred and Laura were game to get wet. One of my favorite things we did was letting Bella explore the grass, try it and just see what she would do. Watching her personality come to life is so adorable. She is going to be such a little lady… love the way she held that little dead flower looking thing that Jael handed to her. This is also the session that if you follow along on Instagram you might of seen my story on getting eaten alive by ants. I crawled into an ant pile without noticing and soon was covered by red little demons. Its already been a week and I am still scratching on all the bites. WHATEVER IT TAKES, I SAY.

We nearly rescheduled our session because of the bi-polar weather and what a mistake that would of been! Even as we arrived the storm clouds were taunting us with a sprinkle. But soon enough the skies cleared and we had the most beautiful afternoon with pink sunset and all. Such a lovely way to end our session together.
