This past weekend I met one of the cutest little gals I have had the pleasure of photographing in a while. Some kids have a spark about them that isn’t taught or posed… a fire that lives within them and they can’t help but carry themselves with such sass and spirit. Meet Imani. Imani gave me a hug 2 minutes after meeting me for the first time and not because I asked for one. She also sat on my lap and I told her about my babies back at home. Within just a couple of frames photographing her I knew I was in for a treat. I love children with big personalities. They make our session so much more interesting. I’m so happy Stephanie reached out and signed up for a session because her family is so picture perfect. We closed our session running laps around the park and Imani still was ready for more. Love that about her! Here are my favorites from our time together.
Stephanie had a special surprise for Imani during our session. It also may be a surprise for you if you’re friends of the family. After picking a quiet spot in the park, Stephanie shared one of the greatest news one can give a daughter… the news that she was soon to be a big sister. Imani was over the moon and already says that the baby is going to be a girl. Watching them three rejoice over the new addition to their family was an extra special moment during our session. One that I am so happy Stephanie waited to share with Imani during our session.
