I don’t know if there will ever be another muse family for me quite like this one. I am definitely hoping for many many more, but then I go back to them. All the way back to them, and I am home.
I walked in the door and right after my hellos and hugs we were already shooting our session. No warm ups. No small talk in order to get comfortable with one another. No trying to make the little one like me… and that’s because working with Kristin and Lilly is like photographing my sister and niece. I walk in and already can imagine the kind of things she wants and all she really needs me for is to hold the camera and snap away all the little moments that will unfold before me. It’s such an amazing feeling to reach that level of comfort with my clients. Seven years guys, thats a really long span to have witnessed. I walked around the house recording Insta stories of all the pictures on the walls and everything is a flashback to a sweet memory. I know I already prepared you guys letting you know it would be a weekend of sessions in Louisiana but I honestly had no idea myself I would come back with this much sweet stuff.
Enough mushy talk, this trip was all about commemorating the last days of being a family of five. Soon baby Lorelei will arrive and as much as I know all pregnant mommas want pictures of their belly, Kristin’s big request was having pictures with Lilly. Lilly melts my heart into millions of pieces with her abundance of kisses and with the random I love yous. Her disposition for pictures is beyond amazing and something that photographers only dream about. We spent our morning together around the house enjoying ice cream and the perfect chilly weather. Lilly is fully aware that there is a baby coming since she will tell you its her baby. Lilly’s baby will be here in February and we all cannot wait to see how she will react when she meets Lorelei.
It wasn’t long before the boys came home from school but I will leave those photos for my next post. These are my personal favorites of Kristin and Lilly. Just like I mentioned before, the cutest BFFs forever.
This next picture is one of my new favorites.
Oh you know, we were just laughing at the fact that I wanted her to smile genuinely and that comes pretty easy for us when were getting our picture taken…
Stay tuned tomorrow for their full family session!
