Never underestimate a bride’s initial conversation about what they envision for their engagement session. You can pretty much stick to that first idea she sends your way and dismiss all the other ones that she somehow is just settling with. Every girl who has ever dreamed about getting married has already pictured how it would be. The color of her bridesmaids dresses and which flowers would be on her bouquet. What song she wants to dance with her father and whether or not she wants curls in her hair. We, women are complicated. We know what we want even when we haven’t quite figured out what it is. I happen to of learned that the hard way recently. And trust me when I say, it will not happen again. You see, Jay had her heart set on an engagement session inspired by the movie, The Notebook. But she didn’t want it to look like every other one she’s found on Pinterest or Google. Easier said than done. Then we started talking about all the other things that she liked and the different styles that we could possibly do. Eventually we settled on what we could do and shot the session at the farm and you all can see their pictures here. She still had those Noah and Allie scenes playing out in her list of wishes. So back to shooting we all went. Once we gave it to her, once her vision had finally been reenacted, we had ourselves one happy bride. We should of known right from the start, give that woman what she first asked for. So there you have it, Jay & Lester’s 2nd Engagement session or rather Part 2 of their beautiful love series. I have to give Lester one big (clap clap) because he has been such a wonderful sport about all these pictures. I can tell just how much he truly loves that girl of his.
