Last year when Shaleen was still very early on her pregnancy, she sent me one of the sweetest messages I have ever gotten through my website. At the time she was still living in what she called beautiful and sleepy Beaufort, SC and had plans of moving to Miami some time in the following summer. She had yet to find a doctor here or a house even, but she had found me and knew that she wanted me to photograph the arrival of her first little bundle of joy. I remember reading that email and just imagining who she was. A typical me that loves to plan ahead. I excitedly wrote back to her and we made plans to meet once they moved to Florida for their maternity session. But first we had ourselves a Skype meet where not only did I get to meet them, but their fur baby, a gorgeous great dane boy named Bruschi. I knew right there that these folks and I were a good match. And so it was just a matter of waiting until the months would pass and they would be here.
The day of their maternity the session the weather was absolutely beautiful. Clear skies and a mild sun, not the scourging one we’re used to here in Miami. It was the perfect day to be outdoors with this family. They were just as sweet as I imagined. I loved capturing them play with Bruschi and just being together celebrating the arrival of their baby boy. I’ve been itching to share these but until just yesterday that Arlo was born his name was kept secret. But now, the secret is out and here are his beautiful maternity photos. Shaleen and Dan were so great at this picture posing thing, such naturals! I will be sharing soon their birth story and picture of the precious little Arlo. He’s such a cutie!!
