Hialeah Traditional Wedding

You may remember seeing this lovely couple from a post not long ago.. their South Beach engagement session was one of those that I enjoyed shooting so much. Their carefree spirit and always happy expressions made them so easy to photograph. On their long awaited wedding day everything was happening just as planned except the one thing we couldn’t control… the weather. An 100% prediction of rain forecast for the entire day my friends. I kept thinking the night before, this is South Florida, it will rain a bit and then go away. Well, it didn’t. That was the one day friends that Hialeah literally never truly saw the sun. Out went our first look plans at the park and bridal portrait session after the ceremony but guess what?

ALYSSA & LORENZO · CORAL GABLES, FL

Matheson Hammock Park Fall Engagements

I was so pleasantly surprised to see that good ‘ol Matheson Hammock Park had survived hurricane Irma during this past session. Although the beach area of the park is still closed and if you happen to wander on a weekend you’ll have a guard escort you out – on a Monday afternoon the following couple and I enjoyed the park to ourselves. It felt like it had been such a long time I had shot there from the streak I had been experiencing in the summer and honestly, I missed it. Those spanish moss covered trees are so memorable. Alyssa and Lorenzo won’t be tying the knot until 2019 but celebrating early engagement pictures is my favorite way to welcome this fall weather.

Coral Gables Traditional Wedding

Sometimes while shooting a couple I will get that feeling of ‘I wish these guys were part of our friends circle’. The following groom would probably fit right in with my husband’s friends since he’s such a Star Wars fan (scroll down to see their wedding cake topper). He would partake in my husband’s lengthy Star Wars conversations that include and are not limited to speculation as to what the next movie is going to be about. The bride.. oblivious to anything Star Wars before becoming his lady ( just like me guys… D had to explain everything after our numerous marathon watching dates). In the future I can already see us having dinner and ignoring our husbands together. Yeni and Javier,

MONICA & DAYRON · AVENTURA, FL

Greynolds Park Sunrise Engagements

This coming week I will have the pleasure of hanging out with this lovely couple once again not for another portrait session, but for their wedding! Last minute engagement sessions are still the perfect way to loosen up and become comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. Monica and Dayron enjoyed a perfect sunrise at the beach followed by a bit of exploring at Greynolds Park. Very soon their long distance dating days will be a thing of the past and Monica will no longer feel as if FaceTime is her best friend. That long awaited day is almost here and I am looking forward to celebrating it to the fullest with you. Be sure to check out their video teaser put together by the folks at Films by JNL.

South Beach Sunset Engagements

Good morning friends! In just a couple of weeks I will be meeting with my next couple again… but not just for any session it will be their wedding day! These Naples locals will be getting hitched in Miami and it was only fitting we had their engagement session here as well. On a perfect summery afternoon in September we explored South Pointe Park in South Beach. It had been a while since I had scheduled an afternoon session at the beach since most of my beach sessions are all at sunrise. The park was filled with families gathering, tourists and other couples exploring as well. Such a pretty day was meant to be enjoyed outdoors. I’m so happy they chose me to document their special day because they are absolutely the cutest.
