My how things changed in these short 12 months. This time last year I was still on maternity leave enjoying every minute of the day spent at home with my boys. I kept telling myself I would start working again when the boys turned six months and something about those cute chunky faces of theirs kept me from wanting to leave them behind even if just for a couple of hours for a session. That was until there was much talk about whether or not I would document Jaylin & Lester’s engagement session … I knew I had to stop putting it off. That session lit enough of a fire in me that soon enough I started making plans to start working again.

I’m probably already mid-air by the time this post goes live… on the way to capture Kristin’s next milestone in her motherhood journey. It’s been quite the exciting almost eight years of working together and every single time I get that message, “we’re having a baby” or better said, “Abby you ready to come back to Louisiana?” I immediately start dreaming up all the pictures I know we are going to create. If you haven’t already landed on that page, I dedicated a section to just them and what it’s like having a single photographer be the person that follows along in your family’s journey.
