Years ago before social media meeting someone was all about face-to-face encounters. Either you happen to see that person for the first time in school and you were anxiously waiting to see if they happen to have any classes that coincide with you. Or perhaps a friend or family member wanted to set you up with someone they knew ( or thought ) you would hit it off well with. My personal favorite are the stories of the accidental meets that turn into love stories because they always have such interesting beginnings. But fast forward to the 2000s and we’re in the days of easily meeting friends and even our spouses via one or another social media app. I’ve got that kind of love story for you today.

Sometimes we’re there so early for our engagement sessions that we text our couple and take a nap in the car. Pitch dark outside, and on days like the one I shot Liliet & Yariel’s engagement session, drizzling rain. I kept thinking, oh no… they are going to drive all this way and the rain isn’t going to let up. But to my surprise, as soon as the light stared to peak through the horizon, the rain clouds went away. Hello sun! I’m so happy that we get to keep working together again as their wedding approaches later on this year. For my Spanish readers you’ll be able to read on their story in the post as Liliet talks to me about how much Yariel means to her.

This sweet couple hit the jackpot when it comes to picking out dates for their sunrise beach engagement session. I mean ding ding ding gold kind of day. Not only did they experience a beautiful pink glowy sky when the sun was first coming up but also a second time around when a rain cloud parked itself right in front of us as it made it’s way up. Double sunrise glow for us. It was like the sunrise that would never end. This had never happened before during a session to me and you all know how much I love waking up at five AM for these kind of shoots. David & Liana were in for a special treat of continuous perfect light the whole time we were together.

It’s my pleasure to now present to you all friends part three of the engagement session trio we put together for my cousin Jael and Ludgeor. There is always something so calming and heartwarming about the glow of a sunrise. We had already gone on a city date, hung out with the many tourist at the Wynwood Walls and what better way to close then with my favorite, a session by the sea. I am beyond thrilled and excited for all the wedding plans that are yet to come so for now we just have these, teasers of what it will be like photographing their best day ever. Jael, I love you so very much and I hope these photos will always serve as reminders of this beautiful stage in your life.
