Good morning friends! Happy Monday to you and yes I am writing to you way too early for coffee and way too late to be awake, but guess who’s sleeping in (LIKE REALLY SLEEPING IN) after a week of four sunrise sessions… this gal. My kids are going to have to lift me with a crane today in order to make them breakfast. #momgoals I have for you the next installment of Jael & Ludgeor’s engagement session (technically this was the last session we did, but I’m saving the best for last). Jael (my closest girl cousin) wanted to have multiple engagement sessions that looked nothing alike one from another. She wanted them to represent bits and pieces of their individual personalities and their likes as a couple.
Perez Art Museum Miami Engagements
A little over a year ago I wrote the following about my cousin Jael: “I have this dream of seeing her wrapped in the arms of a man she’s absolutely crazy about. The kind of man that accepts her completely and understands her many quirks. The one she will let her guard down for and won’t be ashamed of the many things she says I embarrass her about. Days where she will be so caught up making plans with her special someone she will have to pencil me in her schedule. And she will no longer speak in “I” terms but rather “we” will become the norm. I don’t know how long it will be till she discovers this part of her life but I know that it’s coming soon.”
Key Biscayne Beach Engagements
Hi there friends, have I got the cutest beach engagement session today to share! I absolutely love when couples brave the early morning wake up call to meet me at the beach for their sunrise engagement session. Something about the beach and light that inspires me like no other place. This session had it’s bit of mishaps when come time to arrive at our shooting location it was closed. Never before had this gate been closed, but today of all days, it was. We improvised and drove a bit further along and found this little spot that made our morning together that much more memorable. I love that we made the very best out of the change of plans and that we were still able to capture that beautiful sunrise glow.
Planning your Engagement Session
All of my fall brides are currently in the works of planning or shooting their engagement sessions. (Some of you we have had to reschedule because of the torrential rain that’s been hitting us these past couple of weeks, but the sun will shine soon!) With a busy season of engagement and weddings ahead I think this is the perfect time to share tips on how to make the most out of you engagement session. With every wedding package we include these sessions as a way to get to know each other, become comfortable in each others presence (could you imagine feeling that you’re wedding photographer is the most awkward person during your whole wedding day?) and practice posing and my overall style of shooting.
SOUTH POINTE PARK ENGAGEMENTS
It seems lately that I go from one engagement shoot to the next… must be wedding season in Miami! Such a joy to see so much love every time I meet a new couple anxious for that day they are Mr. and Mrs. (insert your name here). This next session I am going to share was such a treat! We started off our morning at South Pointe Park in South Beach and the sun was already welcoming us with that amazing golden glow. I’m so at home in my element in front of the ocean, in the sand with that sun beaming at me. So happy Lily and Josh chose to have their engagement session at the beach, it makes my heart swell with excitement whenever a session takes place there.
