Redland Koi Gardens Engagements

Sometimes our love stories don’t start off with the happiest of notes. Sometimes it takes a while to reach that “I love you so much it hurts moment”. Something about those troubled love stories or the difficult journeys makes me love the couple even more. I am glued like I was back in middle school to the Nora Roberts romance novels I would check out of the library. I’ve got that kind of love story for you today. They didn’t have that instant “we are meant to be together connection” – at least one of them didn’t… and friends, I never do this.. I never post a whole story or dedication if I feel its too much into personal details or a lengthy writing because after all I want you to see their images since that’s what this blog is all about.

ROSEMARY & ALEX · ESTERO, FL

Lover’s Key Engagements

Good morning dear friends! This next post is one that I never thought I would be writing, let alone sharing pictures with you because whenever your kid-friends start getting hitched you seem to fall into the ‘old folk’ category and sometimes that means you are no longer ‘cool’ enough to hang out with the new couples. My best friend’s kid sister is getting married and this is their love story. There are many versions to it since depending on who you ask they have their take on how it all began, but I will share my bit first. For as long as I can remember Rosemary talking about boys, there was this guy named Alex that she had an immense crush on.

Oceanside Romantic Engagements

matheson hammock park engagements

Shooting engagement sessions at Matheson Hammock park at sunrise is always like opening a surprise gift. There’s no way of telling what kind of sunrise you will have that morning so there you are.. really early anxiously waiting in your car for the magic hour. It was such a cloudy morning that I thought for sure we would have a colorful display before us. But instead, and maybe for the best, we had the most perfect golden glow for a solid hour and more. We were all so happy and in love with how beautiful the ocean shinned for us. I was more in love with watching Samuel and Nathalie interact with one another. I kept thinking that this was all too easy because they were just to great at anything I said for them to try.

Jael & Lu are engaged! · Miami Proposal Photographer

Jael’s surprise proposal

There she stood modeling in the rain for us unaware that her beloved was about to surprise her and ask her to marry him. It was the kind of surprise proposal I knew she would of planned herself. Outdoors, surrounded by trees, facing the lake while the sun set behind, a light drizzle of rain and the man of her dreams. Everything happened just as I had dreamt it would day after day that week. We managed to trick her the two hours we spent at the park prior to all of this making her think that this was all about hanging out together. I purposely positioned her by this massive beautiful tree that would block her view from where he would be walking.

Michelle & George · Homestead, FL

Walton House Engagements

When two strangers meet during dancing lessons and become dance partners, you know their love story will be a good one. Michelle and George had no idea that their love for music and dance would lead them to finding their happily ever after… and here they are celebrating their engagement two years later. They have such a cute proposal story that I really want to share. Michelle says, “We were going to a baseball game with our parents.. my favorite sport is baseball. Before the game, we got to take a picture with a retired Marlins player, Jeff Conine and a current Marlins player, Dee Gordon. It was the end of the 2nd inning and I see a camera man in front of our seats.
